From Cebu streets to the Asian Games
Didal began skating at about twelve in Cebu, practising in public areas and borrowing equipment before support and sponsorship made regular competition possible. Her style developed in a scene organised through friendship, improvisation and the search for places where skating was tolerated.
International appearances, including the X Games and Street League, preceded the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang. Didal won the first women’s street gold awarded by the Games, giving Philippine skateboarding a national sporting milestone.
