Accuracy before volume

Every biography should make clear what is known, when it was true and where the information came from.

Source hierarchy

We prioritise official records, legislation, election results, regulatory filings, annual reports, sporting federations, archival material and reputable published scholarship. A person’s own website may document their position, but it is not treated as independent verification.

Living people and politics

Current offices are dated. Political profiles distinguish documented fact from interpretation, attribute disputed claims, and clearly separate allegations, charges, convictions and acquittals. We do not publish rumours or unsupported wealth estimates.

Human review

Automation may assist with structure, consistency and change detection. A human editor remains responsible for publication, source selection and corrections. Our research methodology documents the full workflow.

Images and quotations

Images require a documented licence or permission and follow our image licensing policy. Quotations must be traceable to a speech, interview, publication or archival record.
