Television entry and a Malay-language catalogue

Aizat Amdan entered the music industry through season five of Akademi Fantasia in 2007. His subsequent catalogue included Percubaan Pertama in 2008, Urusan Aizat Amdan in 2010 and the Legasi EP in 2014, establishing recordings beyond the television programme.

Those releases have different formats. A later gap between full studio albums should not be mistaken for an absence of EPs, singles or live recordings. His music-platform biography supports 1989 as a birth year; reports that he grew up in Kuala Lumpur are not treated as independent proof of birthplace.

Pergi, performance awards and film

At AJL24 on 10 January 2010, Pergi, performed by Aizat, won the main song award. The contemporary report credits Pete Teo with the composition and Amran Omar with the lyrics. Aizat separately received Best Performance for Kau Aku.

Pergi also connects his career to Yasmin Ahmad’s Talentime. The distinction between a singer’s interpretation and the writers’ contributions matters when describing the award. Some retrospective lists associate the contest with 2009, but the actual ceremony took place in January 2010.

Ai.Z and English-language recording

In 2021 Aizat introduced Ai.Z as an English-language project through The Last Thing. NME reported its premiere on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 programme and identified Yuna’s writing and Kuizz’s production. Additional co-writing credit is not asserted where the accounts differ.

Use Me followed in 2021, and Impossible to Love You became his third Ai.Z single. Ai.Z is the same performer’s recording identity, not a different person. The project broadened the language and presentation of his work without establishing a new nationality or an unverified permanent residence abroad.

Live songwriting and work through 2026

Simfoni Hati Beradu arrived in late 2025 as a five-track mini-album inspired by 1980s music and Kuala Lumpur. Bernama’s interview credits producer Izzy Musa and writing by Aizat, Mel Ramlan and Izzy. Most tracks developed through live songwriting on the Dari Studio podcast.

Apple’s catalogue dates Ajar Aku, with Sekumpulan Orang Gila, to 15 May 2026. A subsequent interview describes spiritual reflection, a blend of pop ballad and heavier collaborative sound, and Yuna’s closing vocal cameo. These provide a documented recent endpoint without inventing chart positions or commercial rankings.
