From Penang to the Singapore Sports School
Loh Kean Yew was born in Penang and moved to Singapore on a sports-school scholarship when he was thirteen. The decision placed his development inside Singapore’s elite sporting system; he became a citizen in 2015 and represented the country at that year’s Southeast Asian Games.
